Harry Phelan won the initiative in October 2016, with his company ‘Studio H’ – a modern take on a traditional barbershop specializing in unique cutting styles and shaving techniques. Having worked in one of the best hair salons in the country for over five years, Harry has perfected his hairdressing skills and has built a recurring client base. Setting up Studio H in 2013, Harry already has close to 300 hundred customers. Never satisfied with anything less than perfection, Harry makes his customer feel comfortable and cared for whilst cutting their hair.
With the prize fund, Harry hopes to expand his business, continuing to focus on working on men’s hair rather than cutting women’s. He aims to begin employing apprentices from the local area, teaching them the special techniques that make Studio H both distinctive and individual.
